| Abstract | Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) play a crucial role in improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of healthcare services. HMIS utilization is influenced by both human and organizational aspects. A preliminary survey at Madani General Hospital, Medan, identified obstacles such as uneven user skills, suboptimal training, multiple accounts used by staff, and inadequate system evaluation. This study aimed to determine the relationship between human and organizational aspects and HIMS utilization by healthcare workers at Madani General Hospital, Medan, 2026. Quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 142 respondents were selected using a proportional random sampling technique. Data collection used a questionnaire based on the HOT-Fit method and was analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The analysis showed a relationship between human aspects and HIMS utilization (p=0.001), and organizational aspects with HIMS utilization (p=0.012). A total of 78.2% of respondents reported a good level of HIMS utilization, while 21.8% reported a poor level of HIMS utilization. Human and organizational aspects are related to HIMS utilization by healthcare workers at Madani General Hospital, Medan. The hospital is advised to improve training, monitoring, and organizational support to optimize HIMS utilization.
