| Abstract | Tailoring activities in the informal sector are associated with a high risk of ergonomic hazards due to prolonged static working postures and excessive working hours. These conditions increase the likelihood of developing Low Back Pain (LBP) among workers. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between work duration and working posture with Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints among tailors in Marindal I Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2026. This study employed a quantitative analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all tailors in Marindal I Village, with a sample of 34 respondents selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews and observations using structured questionnaires and the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The univariate analysis showed that 64.7% of respondents had abnormal work duration, 52.9% had non-ergonomic working postures, and 58.8% experienced Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints. The bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between work duration and Low Back Pain complaints (p-value = 0.000; OR = 22.500), as well as a significant relationship between working posture and Low Back Pain complaints (p-value = 0.000; OR = 73.667). In conclusion, there were statistically significant relationships between work duration and working posture and Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints among tailors. Tailors are recommended to take regular short breaks for muscle stretching and to minimize prolonged static postures while working.
