| Abstract | Noise exposure is one of the physical hazards in the workplace that may cause occupational health problems, including auditory and non-auditory disorders. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between noise exposure and occupational health disorders among employees of PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, Begerpang Estate, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2026. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 120 employees, with 54 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation sheets, and noise measurements using a Sound Level Meter. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α=0.05). The results showed that 28 respondents (51.9%) were exposed to noise levels below 85 dB(A), while 26 respondents (48.1%) were exposed to noise levels above 85 dB(A). Furthermore, 30 respondents (55.6%) did not experience occupational health disorders, whereas 24 respondents (44.4%) experienced occupational health disorders. The Chi-Square test indicated a significant relationship between noise exposure and occupational health disorders (p-value = 0.001). It can be concluded that noise exposure exceeding the occupational exposure limit is significantly associated with occupational health disorders among employees. Therefore, the company is recommended to strengthen noise control measures through engineering controls, routine noise monitoring, and improved compliance with hearing protection device use. | 1 |
