| Abstract | Integrated Patient Progress Notes (CPPT) are one of the essential documents in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, serving as a communication medium among healthcare professionals in providing patient care. Nurses' compliance in completing CPPT has a significant impact on the quality of healthcare services, continuity of medical information, and the quality of medical record documentation. The persistence of non-compliance in completing CPPT has become the basis for conducting research on factors associated with nurses' compliance. This study aimed to determine the relationship between nurses' characteristics and their level of compliance in completing Integrated Patient Progress Notes (CPPT) in the outpatient Electronic Medical Record system at Delima General Hospital, Medan, in 2026. This study employed a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all outpatient nurses at Delima General Hospital, Medan, totaling 30 respondents. The sampling technique used was total sampling, whereby the entire population was included as the research sample. Data were collected using an observation checklist and analyzed through univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 20–30 years, accounting for 17 respondents (56.7%). All respondents were female (100%). Most respondents held a Bachelor of Nursing (Ners) degree, with 21 respondents (70.0%), and the majority had 5–10 years of working experience, totaling 12 respondents (40.0%). The bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between age and nurses' compliance in completing CPPT (p-value = 0.010). There was also a significant relationship between educational level and nurses' compliance (p-value < 0.05). Meanwhile, years of service were not significantly associated with nurses' compliance in completing CPPT (p-value = 0.903). Gender was not analyzed because all respondents were female, resulting in no variation in the data. In conclusion, age and educational level were significantly associated with nurses' compliance in completing Integrated Patient Progress Notes (CPPT), whereas years of service were not associated with nurses' compliance. Hospitals are expected to improve nurses' compliance through regular training, monitoring, evaluation, and supervision of CPPT documentation to enhance the quality of medical record documentation. | 1 |
