| Abstract | The Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) is an indicator used to assess the utilization of hospital beds and the efficiency of inpatient services. This study aimed to evaluate inpatient services based on BOR achievement in the Nunyai Ward of Demang Sepulau Raya Regional General Hospital during the third quarter of 2025. This study used a descriptive approach to examine BOR achievement and the factors influencing bed utilization. Data were obtained from the recapitulation of Daily Inpatient Census (Sensus Harian Rawat Inap/SHRI) records and interviews with relevant staff. The results showed that the average BOR during the third quarter of 2025 was 87.47%, exceeding the ideal standard of 60%–85%. The monthly BOR was 71.65% in July, 87.78% in August, and 102.98% in September. July's BOR was within the ideal range, while August and September exceeded the recommended standard. The factors influencing BOR achievement included input factors, such as human resources and facilities; process factors, such as service flow and data recapitulation; and environmental factors, such as hospital policies and referral systems. It can be concluded that the utilization of inpatient beds in the Nunyai Ward was generally above the ideal standard during the third quarter of 2025. Therefore, hospital management needs to evaluate bed capacity, improve service processes, and optimize resource allocation to maintain service quality and improve the efficiency of inpatient services. | 1 |
