| Abstract | This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of electronic medical record (EMR) use on service quality at the Helvetia Community Health Center (UPT Puskesmas Helvetia), Medan City, in 2026. This study employed a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all 46 healthcare workers at UPT Puskesmas Helvetia. The sample comprised 46 respondents selected using non-probability sampling with a total sampling technique. Data were collected from primary sources by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analyses with Fisher’s Exact Test at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). The results showed that the effectiveness of EMR use at UPT Puskesmas Helvetia, Medan City, in 2026 was categorized as good among 43 respondents (93.5%), while 3 respondents (6.5%) reported poor EMR use. Meanwhile, service quality was categorized as good by 44 respondents (95.7%), whereas 2 respondents (4.3%) rated the service quality as poor. The Fisher’s Exact Test yielded a p-value of 0.003, which was lower than the significance level (α = 0.05). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. This indicates a statistically significant association between electronic medical record (EMR) use and service quality at UPT Puskesmas Helvetia, Medan City, in 2026. These findings suggest that better use of electronic medical records by healthcare workers tends to be associated with better quality of services provided to patients. | 1 |
