| Abstract | With the aim of improving the efficacy of healthcare services, an EMR is an information system that facilitates the recording, storing, and administration of patient medical data. Many obstacles, however, might arise during the installation of EMR systems, which in turn can impact the level of satisfaction felt by end users. Using the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) paradigm, this research intends to evaluate user satisfaction with the electronic medical record system at the Seventh-day Adventist Hospital in Medan in 2026. The five main aspects of this paradigm are timeliness, accuracy, format, usability, and content. A case study design, a qualitative method, is used in the investigation. Using a structured interview process to guide observation and interviews, data were obtained from 10 EMR users across different hospital service units. The data was then analysed using a descriptive manner. Since the offered material adequately addressed most of their professional needs, the results show that almost all participants were satisfied with the "content" dimension. Regarding accuracy, the information generated is generally considered aligned with user needs, although there are still shortcomings concerning the completeness of certain data. In terms of format, the EMR system is perceived as reasonably engaging and easy to understand. Regarding ease of use, most users are able to operate the system, though further training and improved understanding are still required for some. Finally, concerning timeliness, while the system generally provides the necessary information, challenges persist—specifically regarding delays in data entry, incomplete information when needed, and the absence of reminder or notification features. Furthermore, internet connectivity issues and server instability can slow down data access. In conclusion, the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system at Advent Hospital Medan has facilitated work processes and generally resulted in user satisfaction; however, improvements are still required regarding the completeness of information, accuracy of data entry, system stability, and user training to enhance the quality of healthcare services. | 1 |
