| Abstract | Background: Digital health transformation under Ministry of Health Regulation Number 24 of 2022 mandates all healthcare facilities to implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR). However, EMR implementation in public health centers (Puskesmas) still encounters obstacles such as infrastructure limitations, human resources readiness, and incomplete entry data, leaving the quality of health information suboptimal. Objective: To analyze the role, implementation level, information quality, barriers, as well as the relationship and influence of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) on the quality of health information at Puskesmas Sering Medan in 2026. Methods: This study applied a quantitative design with an analytical survey approach. The population comprised all healthcare workers using the EMR system at Puskesmas Sering Medan, totaling 50 personnel. Sampling was carried out through a total sampling technique, obtaining 50 respondents. The independent variable was Electronic Medical Records (EMR), while the dependent variable was health information quality. Data analysis involved descriptive (univariate) analysis and inferential analysis utilizing the Pearson Product Moment Correlation and simple linear regression tests via SPSS software. Results: The univariate analysis showed that EMR implementation was generally in the good category (60%), whereas health information quality was mostly in the sufficient category (62%). The Pearson correlation test demonstrated a very strong and positive relationship between EMR implementation and health information quality (r = 0.819). The simple linear regression analysis generated the model Y = -0.338 + 0.654X with a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.670 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), thereby rejecting H0 and accepting H1. Operationally, the EMR system eases primary digital entry, yet information quality remains moderate due to a lack of user discipline and meticulousness in the consistency of patient data entry. Conclusion: The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) has a very strong correlation and significantly influences the quality of health information at Puskesmas Sering Medan in 2026. The public health center is expected to optimize regular data quality monitoring, and system users are advised to elevate their accuracy and compliance regarding timely patient service documentation. | 1 |
