| Abstract | Saba banana peel ( musa paradisiaca L) contains bioactive compaunds such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins and phenolic compaunds that exhibit antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes. This study aims to formulate and evaluate peel off maks preparations containing saba banana peels were extract,as well as to determine their antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes. Saba banana peels were extracted using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The obtained extract was then formulated into peel off mask. Preparations with there concentration variations 5 %,( F1 ), 10%, ( F2 ) and 15 % ( F3 ) . the evaluation of the preparations included organoleptic testing, homogeneity , ph , spreadability, viscosity, and antibacterial activity tests. Using the agar diffusion method, inhibition zone diameter data were statistically analyzed using One-Way Analysis of Variance (One-Way ANOVA) at a 95% confidence level (α=0.05). The evaluation results showed that all formulations possessed good organoleptic characteristics, were homogeneous, and met the requirements for pH and spreadability. The results of the antibacterial activity test indicated that an increase in extract concentration resulted in a larger inhibition zone diameter against Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes. Statistical analysis using One-Way ANOVA showed significant results (p<0.05). The peel-off mask with good physical characteristics and antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes was the 15% concentration formulation, showing the strongest antibacterial activity. | 1 |
