| Abstract | This study aimed to determine the relationship between Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) knowledge and compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among field workers at PLN ULP Barus in 2026. This study used a quantitative research method with an analytical observational design and a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study consisted of all field workers at PLN ULP Barus totaling 40 workers. The sampling technique used was total sampling, so the entire population was included as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate analysis with Fisher’s Exact Test at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.04). The results showed that most respondents had a good level of OSH knowledge and most workers were compliant in using PPE. The bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) knowledge and compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among field workers at PLN ULP Barus, with a p-value < 0.04. Workers with good OSH knowledge tended to be more compliant in using PPE compared to workers with lower levels of knowledge. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) knowledge and compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among field workers at PLN ULP Barus in 2026. It is recommended that the company improve OSH training programs, strengthen supervision regarding PPE use, and conduct regular education programs to increase workers’ awareness and compliance toward occupational safety.
