| Abstract | ABSTRACT Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders experienced by workers due to prolonged sitting and poor sitting posture. This study aimed to determine the relationship between sitting duration and sitting posture with the risk of Low back pain (LBP) among employees of Biru-Biru Public Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2026. This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 30 employees, all of whom were included as respondents using the total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that 23 respondents (76.7%) had a sitting duration of more than 8 hours, 17 respondents (56.7%) had poor sitting posture, and 25 respondents (83.3%) experienced the risk of Low back pain. The Chi-Square test indicated a significant relationship between sitting duration and the risk of Low back pain (p-value = 0.007) as well as a significant relationship between sitting posture and the risk of Low back pain (p-value = 0.021). It can be concluded that sitting duration and sitting posture are significantly associated with the risk of Low back pain among employees of Biru-Biru Public Health Center. It is recommended that the health center implement ergonomic principles, provide ergonomic work facilities, and encourage employees to perform regular stretching exercises to reduce the risk of Low back pain.
