| Abstract | The Dragon Scale Leaf plant (Pyrrosia pilloselloides (L.) M.G. Price) contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids, which are capable of inhibiting bacterial activity. This study is aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of mouth spray formulation made from the ethanol extract of Dragon Scale Leaves (Pyrrosia pilloselloides (L.) M.G. Price) against the bacteria Streptococcus mutans and Porphyromonas gingivalis at concentrations of 8%, 10% and 15%. The extract was prepared using the maceration method with 96% ethanol. This study employed an experimental design by testing the physical evaluation parameters of the mouth spray formulation. Physical evaluation of the formulation included organoleptic testing, viscosity testing, clarity testing, pH testing, irritation testing and physical stability testing. The results of the physical evaluation tests for Dragon Scale Leaf Ethanol Extract mouth spray at concentrations of 8%, 10% and 15% met the required standards. Antibacterial testing of Dragon Scale Leaf Ethanol Extract mouth spray formulation used the disk diffusion method on Streptococcus mutans bacteria showed that it could inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans at concentrations of 8%, 10% and 15%, with average inhibition zone diameters of 12.4 mm, 14.4 mm and 15.6 mm, respectively, classified as strong inhibitory activity. Meanwhile, against Porphyromonas gingivalis, the mouth spray inhibited bacterial growth at an 8% concentration, yielding an average inhibition zone diameter of 8.6 mm, classified as moderate inhibition; at 10% and 15% concentrations, inhibition zone diameters of 11.4 mm and 14.3 mm were observed, classified as strong inhibition.
