| Abstract | ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between employee archive management and the employee archive retrieval system at Medan Haji General Hospital in 2026. The type of research used is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The study population was all 1,026 employees of Medan Haji General Hospital. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique with the Slovin formula, resulting in 91 respondents. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that of the 91 respondents, the majority were over 30 years old (73.6%), had a master's degree (42.9%) and a bachelor's degree (41.8%), and were female (51.6%). A total of 56 people (61.5%) had good archive management, and of these, 31 people (34.1%) demonstrated good archive retrieval skills. Conversely, of the 35 people (38.5%) who had poor archive management. only 1 person (1.1%) was able to perform archive retrieval well. The Chi-Square test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means there is a significant relationship between employee archive management and the employee archive retrieval system at Medan Haji General Hospital in 2026. This study recommends that Medan Haji General Hospital improve the quality of archive management through employee training, the implementation of standard operating procedures, and the implementation of archive digitization technology to support the efficiency of archive retrieval and the smoothness of overall employee administration.
