| Abstract | The Dayak Onion (Eleutherine americana merr.) plant contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and phenols, which can inhibit antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of a serum gel preparation made from ethanol extract of starfruit leaves against Propionibacterium acnes at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. This study used an experimental method by testing the parameters required for evaluating Pimple Patch preparations. Evaluation of the preparation included organoleptic tests, pH tests, weight uniformity tests, folding power tests, and adhesive power tests. The results of the evaluation test of the pimple patch of Dayak onion ethanol extract with concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15% met the requirements. Testing the antibacterial activity of the pimple patch preparation of Dayak onion ethanol extract on Propionibacterium acnes bacteria can inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria at a concentration of 15%, with a strong category with the highest average diameter of the inhibition zone, namely 22.46 mm, compared to other concentrations. | 1 |
