| Abstract | Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are a common occupational health problem caused by non-ergonomic working postures and excessive workload. This condition is frequently experienced by employees who use computers for prolonged periods. This study aims to analyze the relationship between sitting posture and workload with MSDs among employees of STIKes Namira Mandailing Natal Panyabungan. This study employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 32 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) to evaluate sitting posture, a workload questionnaire, and the Nordic Body Map (NBM) to identify MSDs complaints. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed a significant relationship between sitting posture and MSDs (r = 0.634; p-value = 0.000) and between workload and MSDs (r = 0.521; p-value = 0.000). Both relationships were positive, with a strong correlation for sitting posture and a moderate correlation for workload. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between sitting posture and workload with Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) among employees. Therefore, it is recommended that employees adopt ergonomic working postures, and institutions should manage workload and provide appropriate work facilities to minimize the risk of MSDs | 1 |
