| Abstract | Unsafe behavior (unsafe action) is one of the main factors causing work accidents in the palm oil plantation industry. One of the preventive efforts undertaken by the management of PTPN IV Regional II Adolina is the implementation of safety talk before work activities begin. However, its implementation has not been carried out routinely and is still a one-way communication so that its effectiveness is considered less than optimal. This reseach aimed to determine the effect of the effectiveness of safety talk on workers' unsafe behavior at PTPN IV Regional II Adolina. This type of research is quantitative research with an analytical approach conducted in Afdeling III PTPN IV Regional II Adolina from February to June in 2026. The research sample amounted to 58 respondents taken using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed a significant influence between the effectiveness of safety talk and workers' unsafe behavior, with a p-value = 0.023 (<0.05). The more effective the safety talk implementation, the lower the unsafe behavior (unsafe actions) among workers. The conclusion of this research was that the effectiveness of safety talk implementation has an impact on unsafe behavior among workers at PTPN IV Regional II Adolina in 2026. The sugestion of this research of The management of PTPN IV Regional II Adolina is expected to conduct safety talks on a routine, interactive, and continuous basis, as well as enhance supervision of worker compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (K3) procedures in order to reduce unsafe actions. | 1 |
