| Abstract | Poor environmental sanitation increases the risk of infection that may hinder the growth of under-five children. The stunting prevalence in Deli Serdang Regency reached 33.8%, and a preliminary survey in Kuta Tualah Village showed poor maternal sanitation behavior. This study aimed to determine the relationship between maternal sanitation behavior and the growth of under-five children in Kuta Tualah Village, Namorambe Subdistrict, in 2026. This was a quantitative analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 67 mothers with children aged 0–59 months, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a maternal sanitation behavior questionnaire and anthropometric weight-for-height measurements, then analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that most respondents had poor sanitation behavior (52.2%) and most children had abnormal growth status (59.7%). The Chi-Square test obtained a p-value of 0.002 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between maternal sanitation behavior and children's growth. Health workers and village authorities are recommended to strengthen education on clean and healthy living behavior to support optimal child growth.
