| Abstract | Tofu liquid waste is generated in large quantities daily by tofu factories. This waste contains nutrients that can be utilized as fertilizer through a fermentation process involving a mixture of coconut water (as a plant growth regulator) and EM4 (as a bioactivator). Fermentation serves to decompose organic matter and reduce pollutant levels in the tofu waste. The resulting fermented tofu waste can be applied to upland water spinach (Ipomoea reptans). This study aimed to determine the effect of applying various dosages of fermented tofu factory waste enriched with coconut water and EM4. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed with six treatments: no fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer, and fermented tofu waste (FLT) at concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. Data analysis was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test via SPSS software. The results indicated that the application of fermented tofu waste significantly affected (P<0.05) the plant height of upland water spinach at 21 and 28 days after planting (DAP). Kruskal-Wallis test results showed H-values of 16.896 (p=0.005) at 14 DAP, 21.776 (p=0.001) at 21 DAP, and 22.082 (p=0.001) at 28 DAP. The 40% concentration treatment yielded the best growth response among all liquid organic fertilizer treatments. This demonstrates that increasing the concentration of fermented tofu waste fertilizer enhances the vegetative growth of water spinach. In conclusion, the application of fermented tofu waste significantly affects and improves the height growth of upland water spinach.
