| Abstract | One of the major components of supporting consistent and efficient healthcare services in specialised units (Operating room, Intensive care unit, Neonatus Intensive care unit) is Medical equipment logistics procurement. The role of the right type, quantity and quality equipment at an appropriate time in rendering medical services is very vital. Objective: The research objectives is to find out how the effect of constraint procurement of medical equipment logistics on services at Sembiring General Hospital in specialized units in 2026. The present study employed a cross-sectional quantitative research design. The study population was all medical workers and staff who were involved in the use and management of medical equipment in each specialized unit at Sembiring General Hospital. The type of sampling technique used was total sampling, in which the number of respondents as many as 86 people. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, while univariate and bivariate data analysis performs through Chi-Square test with 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The conclusion of the results are planning factors (p = <0.001), budget availability (p = <0.001), vendor/supplier performance (p = 0.001), information systemse(p= <0.001) and human resources (p= setha(0,01) ) have a significant relationship with limitations in the procurement of medical equipment logistics affecting services in the spesial room Sembiring General Hospital.. Conclusion Factors influencing constraints in procurement of medical equipment logistics in the Shalloow Specialized Unit of Sembiring General Hospital were planning, budget availability, vendor / supplier performance, information systems and human resources. Hence the need for better coordination between departments, accurate needs planning, logistic information systems strengthening and consistent checking of vendor performance in order to ensure medical equipment availability as well as quality health care services in a specialty unit. | 1 |
